Students from Colaiste An Atha Vocational College in Kilmuckridge, Co Wexford visited Slaney Foods on Tuesday 21st of January. These students are following the Agriculture QQI Level 5 Course. The main aim of their visit was to cover one of the components of the course which is Beef Husbandry.
During the visit the students had the opportunity to observe the stages involved in processing the finished cattle in the Abattoir. This was followed by a discussion on beef market requirements, animal specifications and traceability. Our Procurement Team would like to take the opportunity to wish these students a successful future. We hope that they will apply the learning’s from this visit to their career.
